Thinking of visiting Turkey but don’t know which resort to chose? Then why not have a look at this interesting and informative destination guide to Bodrum. As i enjoy lots of watersports, my favourite part of Turkey is Bodrum where i can enjoy both modern and tradition activities. Cheap holidays to this lively resort can always be found on the internet.

BodrumBodrum is renowned for its watersports, including snorkelling, wind surfing and boating, but also has lots of tourist attractions, fine beaches and nightlife. There are also regular boat trips to the Greek island of Kos on offer which make a lovely relaxing day out.

Trevor Butler set up his first ‘travel’ related business in 2004 and has written many other destination articles with tips and information. I have found these articles both interesting and helpful, hope you do too.

Hillside Beach Club

Hillside Beach Club

“What a fantastic place. As we are so unorganised in our household we booked our last minute holidays 2 weeks before we went last October! How lucky were we to go to such a great place…didn’t really know what to expect. Me, my husband and our 3 kids spent a glorious week here in October 2009.The children enjoyed the club and all the activities which meant that we could enjoy ourselves and not worry about keeping them amused.Couldn’t fault the staff, rooms or food here, all good. Only thing was the drinks were a bit expensive but with 3 kids we had to ‘keep a clear head’ so it wasn’t really a problem.Top marks to the Hillside Beach Club, we will be holidaying again with you this November, can’t wait :)

“My boyfriend and i decided on our last minute holidays at the end of September last year and by the the end of the second week in October we were enjoying a glorious, well deserved break at the Litera Turkey.
From the minute we arrived we were looked after by the staff who always found time to have a chat and answer any questions we had. We didn’t like the beach too much but enjoyed the pool so we didn’t really need the beach. Although the food wasn’t that good we still had enough to eat, we never went hungry and anyway there were plenty of other places to eat if we wanted to. We found the entertainment good here and didn’t really venture out at night as we had everything we wanted here!
We really enjoyed our break here and will definitely be returning at some point, shame it’s not this year.”

Turkey and Israel Tuesday pledged commitment to improve ties as an Israeli minister held talks in Ankara, the first since the Jewish state’s war in Gaza poisoned ties between the two regional allies.

‘We are doing our best to make progress in our ties… I am confident we will keep our friendship on the right course, in the best shape,’ Benjamin Ben Eliezer, Israel’s trade and industry minister, was quoted as saying by Anatolia news agency.

Ben Eliezer described Turkish-Israeli ties as a ‘strategic partnership’ and invited Turkish business people to invest in Israel and ‘feel at ease just as we feel at home here.’

Israel’s ties with Turkey, its main regional ally since 1998 when the two signed a military cooperation deal, took a downturn in January when the Islamist-rooted government in Ankara launched an unprecedented barrage of criticism of the Jewish state over its deadly offensive on Gaza.

In a memorable outburst, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stormed out from a debate at the World Economic Forum, accusing Israel of ‘barbarian’ acts and telling Israeli President Shimon Peres, sitting next to him, that ‘you know well how to kill people.’

Last month, Turkey excluded Israel from joint military drills and said ties would continue to suffer unless Israel ends ‘the humanitarian tragedy’ in Gaza and revives peace talks with the Palestinians.

Despite the fence-mending efforts, Israel’s hardline Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Sunday that Turkey cannot resume its role of mediator in indirect talks with Syria ‘after all verbal attacks and insults toward us.’

And Turkey’s premier also remained bitter, slamming Israel for keeping Gaza under blockade.
